Past:

As the eldest daughter of infamous assassin Amelie Zagurian, my early life probably couldn't be considered a picnic. We lived with my maternal grandmother and her brother until, at the age of four years old, my mother left me in the care of a family friend. I knew him only as Azrael, was this his real name? Or was it more of a title, honorary due to his job: Shepherd of Lost Souls into their appropriate afterlives. I haven't a clue honestly. I never thought to ask him, yet for the longest time he was the only father I knew. I'd never met mine. Didn't even know who he was for many years.

You might ask yourself why I was raised by a friend of my mother's, instead of the woman herself. I can only tell you what she told me. That it wasn't safe to stay with her, considering my grandfather was an insane power hungry dictator that wished to kill everyone my mother and her older siblings cared about. Because they defied him, or just because he was crazy. I sort of understand where she was coming from. More to the point, I possessed a power Az was more suited to teaching me to control than my mother could have. That power was the element of Spirit. An element that touches every living thing and for reasons entirely unknown to me, became a helpful tool in guiding the souls of the lost.

I lived and worked with my mentor, father figure and friend for many years, until word travelled to us that my mother had come to settle on another planet. Hellifyno. Curiosity drove me to follow her and once there I learned our family had set down roots intending to make the planet our home. It was at this point I met my father for the first time, Alexander Equinox was his name. He and mum had found each other again and rekindled a romance after circumstances had parted them before.

It should be a joyful occasion, meeting the father you never knew you had and for a while it was. No one was happier than I was to finally be amongst family with nothing dangerous, aside from the chaotic war torn nature of our new home to keep us apart. My parents married and I was gifted with siblings. Zachary and Kaia, both strange hybrid mixes of our parents. Just like me. Except their element is water. I found love too, I wasn't looking for it or anything. He crept up on me entirely by surprise. Randulf Silverhide. Honorable, strong and true. He was a warrior of the Silverhide lycan pack but to me he was gentle. He was my solace, my home.

Nothing lasts forever though. The day I found out I was pregnant I also learned that my mate, my Randulf was killed. It happened in one of the battles against the forces of the Mad God, it was also my father's fault. I didn't know it at the time, that was something I learned later. I hate him. A daughter shouldn't think that about the man who gave her life, but it's true. The last memory I have of my love was...I suppose it was some kind of vision. Maybe a dream. His way of saying goodbye. He knew about our child, gifting me his connection to Gaia. His light. As a way to protect her, perhaps even to give me a sense of purpose. That was the day I became one of the Children of Light.

I studied under Xena, who was the High Priestess at the time. (She was replaced by my uncle upon her death.) Learning how to wield the power I'd been gifted and what it meant to follow gaia's path, to truly value life. Though it felt at times like I was alone, drowning in my loss. My family rallied around me, they helped me a lot when Lyall was born. As did the Silverhides. Healing came slowly but for my daughter I solidered onwards, pretending like I wasn't sinking slowly into a well of depression.

Present:

As devoted as my parents had once been to each other, they grew to hate each other just as much. Their relationship falling apart and ending in divorce. Can't say I'm sorry for that. Can't much bring myself to care that my father is dead either, as much as I value life. Believe in forgiveness and second chances, I have never been able to forgive him. Not even now that he's gone.

Lyall grew to follow in her father's footsteps, because of course she did. Being a warrior is in Silverhide blood, some might argue being a fighter could also be in my blood. Look at my mother for example, she never stops fighting for what she believes in. Will take on the whole damn universe for the sake of her loved ones. I don't know whether that's a fighters spirit or just sheer stubborness, because my family has that in droves. They never give up. I'm not a fighter though, I'll defend myself if I have to but I've always been more of a pacfist. Like my Uncle Michael. The man who uses his words to get out of most any situation and only resorts to violence as a last measure. There are worse people to be like.

It's funny how the things that keep you going, that help you tell yourself you're okay. That you aren't miserable, not drowning in a sea of sorrow. Can just...disappear. I'd never held Lyall back, despite fearing the day I'd lose her too. Just like I lost her father. I never stopped her from being as brilliant as he was. Perhaps I thought grief couldn't strike me twice, or maybe I just didn't for one moment think the universe would be cruel enough to make me outlive my only child. Yet that's exactly what happened. My sweet girl, gone a casualty of the Silverhides war with Aosoth. I swear if I were more like my mother, I'd probably have tried to kill her in retribution. But despite how far down this pit of depression I've tumbled. I don't have a death wish and challenging that particular demoness can only result in death.

The only bright spot in my sea of misery that barely let's up was meeting Lili, my young half sister. I see a great strength in her, one that she could only have gotten from her parents. Mum's always been strong and from the look of it Lili's father is too. The girl went through an experience that was likely incredibly traumatic, I see the shadows that sometimes flit across her gaze. Yet she hasn't let it daunt her, she's a typical bubbly teenager. That to me is a testament of her willpower, her stubborness and something I admire greatly in her. Perhaps she can teach me how to rise above my demons like that.

I rarely leave my home anymore, if not for my duties in the Temple I think I would stay there forever. I tell myself it's because the unfiltered thoughts that bombard my mind since my Medium activated, bringing with it all the powers I inherited from mum. Are too much, but if I was honest with myself I'd admit I'm hiding. It feels safer to stay in my coocoon. My family stops by to visit me. Lili and Mum are always here. So it's not like I'm alone. Who needs to go outside anyway? I don't think I'm fooling them though, I think they can tell. Lili especially. And maybe I am lonely but could I really risk it? A new friend I made makes me want to try. He intrigues me.

Magical Skills:

☆ Spirit Element - She's a spirit elemental, able to control a form of purple coloured energy that's somewhat spiritual. It aids her in communicating with and guiding lost souls.

☆ Gaia Light - Not a power she was born with Alea became a Child Of Light after the death of her mate, blessed with Gaia's light which quite simply put means Life. She uses it mostly for healing and/or soothing enraged people.

☆ Chaotic Energy: A force that takes the form of black and orange flames with electricity crackling inside it, chaotic energy acts like a flesh eating virus to whatever it touches within ten seconds. In a larger blast, it will practically swallow up it's target and disintegrate it.

☆ Telepathy: The ability to read minds, inherited from her mother, unlocked along with the chaotic energy by the awakening of her Medium.

Inventory:

☆ A pure white scythe. Her weapon of choice, though she rarely has to use it.

☆ A black rose charm affixed to an elegant black metallic chain to create a  necklace. (A gift from Dacian Westfall.)

☆ A bracelet with a dragon pendant and a wolf stone pendant, which was carved in honor of Randulf.  (Gifted by Daimyon Silverhide.)

☆ A charm necklace including a perfectly scaled red sword, inscribed with "Father" and a scythe in the same design as hers crossing it in an X-shape, the blade inscribed with "Daughter. Which hangs on a twining red and black material chain. She no longer wears this. (Gifted by Xander, her father.)

Spirit Animal Form:

Unlike the other Zagurian's Alea doesn't have a familiar. Instead she possesses an animal form that fits in with her element, since she's part Equinox and that's how it works. Given that her element is Spirit her animal form is that of a pure white raven with royal purple eyes.

 Medium - Name Currently Unknown:

When her Medium, which has recently awoken takes over she becomes more volatile. More Chaotic than her soft spoken pacifism would portray.

Her eyes take on the royal purple colour of her inner animal. Whilst her skin flushes with a silvery hue, becoming tougher to pierce with weapons. Streaks of silver-white grow into her brownish blonde hair. And white raven wings wreathed in purplish white light unfurl from her back.
